Steel Plates “Tic - Tac - Toe”
This match is designed to test your speed shooting on 4 - 12” and 1- 10” steel plates placed at 10 to 18 yards from the shooter.
The four 12” steel plates will be numbered 1 thru 4.
Any non-magnum caliber handgun, rimfire rifle, or Pistol Caliber Carbines (PCC) center fire rifle.
You will shoot this string of fire four times, timing each string. Your total score will be the the sum of the four strings. The course of fire will be 4 steel plates arranged in a square with one plate in the center.
At the sound of the buzzer, you will start on plate #1, and then proceed diagonally to the center plate, then continue that diagonal to the next corner plate. Proceed to any remaining corner plate, then to center plate and last remaining plate. Example: Upper left - center - lower right, Last three plates starting on a corner. Yes, you will shoot the center plate twice. String #2, you will start on Plate #2, repeat pattern, as in #1. Then String 3, start on Plate 3. String 4, start on plate 4.
Load mags with 10 rounds. You can make up misses. No reloads during a string of fire.
After everyone has fired the course of fire once, we can shoot it again with the same or different firearms. We will shoot until we have had enough or run out of ammo. Or, if anyone wants, we can also shoot on the 6-plate rack.
Please bring as many magazines as you have for each firearm you intend to shoot. If you need to have mags reloaded during a course of fire, someone is always willing to volunteer. Brings chair and a table if you have one.
