Red Cliffs R&P Range Bullseye Pistol Match

Red Cliffs Rifle & Pistol Range will host a Bullseye Pistol Match on April 6, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. at the Main Range. The program will follow the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Match Pistol rules and will be conducted in an1800-point format (180 shots).

If you are planning on attending the 2024 Mesquite Senior Games at RCRPR on Friday, April 5, 2024, stay another day and shoot this match with us on April 6, 2024

Program Dates

Start: Saturday, April 6, 2024  Time: 3:30 p.m.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to help set up the range for the match.

Sign-up and Fees

Registration will be conducted and all fees collected prior to match start on the Main Range. Fees: Members & Non-Members - $15.00

Program Rules

CMP Match Pistol Rules will apply. Rules can be downloaded from: CMP Pistol Competition Rules (https://thecmp.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/2024-Pistol-Rules.pdf)

FIREARMS: Rimfire (rule 4.2.2): Any safe .22 Long Rifle rimfire handgun (Semi-Auto or Revolver) may be used. Centerfire (rule 4.2.3): Any safe .32 or larger caliber handgun (Semi-Auto or Revolver) may be used.

SIGHTS (rule 4.2.1): Metallic, telescopic, or electronic sights are permitted with the exception of a sight that projects an image onto the target (e.g. laser sights).

POSITION (rule 5.1.1): All shooting is done from the standing position using one hand, and no support is allowed.

Course of Fire

“1800” point format, first “900” with Rimfire pistol, second “900” with a Centerfire pistol. The entire 1800 match may be shot with a rimfire pistol, but will be scored separately as “22 only” match.

The “900” tournament consists of 90 shots fired in 10 shot series (nine targets) as follows:

SLOW FIRE MATCH (50 yards):

  • Two Slow Fire NRA B-6 targets, 10 shot strings, 10 minutes/string, 20 shots total)

NATIONAL MATCH COURSE (NMC)- (50 & 25 Yards):

  • One Slow Fire NRA B-6 targets, 10 shot strings, 10 minutes/string, 10 shots total)
  • One Timed Fire NRA B-8 target, 5 shot strings, 2 strings/target, 20 seconds/string, 10 shots total)
  • One Rapid Fire NRA B-8 target, 5 shot strings, 2 strings/target, 10 seconds/string, 10 shots total)

TIMED FIRE (25 yards):

  • Two Timed-Fire NRA B-8 targets, 5 shot strings, 2 strings/target, 20 seconds/string, 20 shots total)

RAPID FIRE (25 yards):

  • Two Rapid-Fire NRA B-8 targets, 5 shot strings, 2 strings/target, 10 seconds/string, 20 shots total)

Essential Equipment to Bring:

Pistols (with two or more magazines), 90 rounds of ammunition for each pistol (extra for alibi strings), eye & ear protection, spotting scope or binoculars, target stapler (with staples), clipboard, pen.
